The team was started in November of 1996. The team is used for serving High Risk warrants and Narcotic Search Warrants with Clatsop County Interagency Narcotics Team (CCINT). The team has also been used for Barricaded subjects. All members must pass and stay involved in the quarterly fitness program. All members attend the Basic SWAT school as well as other specialized trainings that are needed (I.E. special firearms training, gas training, Etc.) Members wear different uniforms then a regular patrol officer to assist with concealment. We carry a lot of different equipment that would be used for entry (I.E. a shield, battering ram, hal, flash bangs, helmets, elbow pads, knee pads, and throat mics).

 We have worked and trained with the Clatsop County Sniper Team and also train with different members of the Sheriff's office, National Guard and other agencies throughout Oregon. Rich Nofield is our newest addition and were excited to have him. He is our Tactical Medic.
