It all started when a Seaside officer finished his shift and stopped by Stop N Go on South Roosevelt. He noticed that two minor were hanging around the business and suspected they may be looking for someone to purchase liquor for them. The officer notified dispatch who had already received a similar report on the boys and an officer had been dispatched.

As the off-duty officer was leaving the store parking lot, he was flagged down by the two minors who asked him to buy them some beer. The officer identified himself and told them to stay there until an on-duty officer arrived. One subject took off running but was quickly apprehended by the responding officer. The other subject remained until contacted by an on-duty officer.
