BICYCLE SAFETY RODEO SCHEDULED

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 8^TH IN SEASIDE

Seaside Police announced their second Bicycle Safety Rodeo this Saturday September 8^th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Broadway Middle School. This event, sponsored by Seaside Police, Sunset Empire Park & Recreation, Safe Kids North Coast, Oregon Department of Transportation, and the Community Cycling Center is open to anyone in the Seaside School District. This is a chance to go over those bicycle safety skills now that school is back in session.

The rodeo will include a bicycle inspection, helmet inspection, and skills course. For those who need a helmet or one replaced, it will be provided free of charge. Everyone participating in the skills course will be eligible for prizes to be given away including two brand new bicycles. Sunset Empire Park & Recreation will conduct a bicycle ride after the rodeo to utilize those safety skills learned during the day.
